This was really beautiful. Someone told me recently that we should hug for at least 7 seconds to get the benefit of it. After 7 seconds something happens to our bodies, our heart rates lower and we relax into the hug. I think it might be that it takes around that long for our brains to release seratonin, but whatever it is, hugs are magical, and long hugs are better!
